Gumroad founder Sahil Lavingia launches new seed fund in collaboration with AngelList, Tech Crunch

One of Pinterest’s co-founders, Sahil Lavingia, announced that he is starting a rolling venture fund, which is like a normal venture fund, except that it allows a wider range of investors.
A typical venture fund raises the capital they invest from a small number of Limited Partners (LPs), usually high net worth individuals or other types of funds. This structure, however, allows investors to commit capital on a quarterly basis, which gives the fund more freedom to raise money as they go.
This is an interesting read for anyone interested in VC who wants to learn about a new development in the industry.

Your Old Radiator Is a Pandemic-Fighting Weapon, Bloomberg

If you have ever been in New York in the winter, you probably were sweating non-stop. Many of the pre-war buildings have radiators that just seem relentless, and this Bloomberg article shows us why.
During the 1918 Spanish Flu, public health officials required that windows be kept open for for fresh air. In order to keep buildings livable, steam heating systems were designed to keep the buildings warm with all the windows open. That is why, to this day, the radiators overheat our buildings.

Markets hate uncertainty and there may never have been a time that is more uncertain than this one right now. This article takes a look at the current market in the midst of the pandemic and provides a frame of mind for how to think about investors’ reactions.
