This article makes the case that economists share more in common with fiction writers than scientists. Much like fiction, models of economic theory require readers to buy into a story that doesn’t fully represent reality. Models can represent opposite ends of an extreme. Economists use data to tell these stories by putting numbers in context or showing how they change over time.

This piece takes a deep dive into the current struggles of movie theaters and Hollywood. With social distancing guidelines in place, movie theaters are seeing reduced demand. As a result, Hollywood is delaying the release of some of its blockbuster films.
